After the death in May, 5th, 1997 of sheikh MABROUK ZRAN, 67 years old in jail where he was severly harassed during the last seven years despite his age and illness, tunisian opponents manifest on the 16 of May 1997 in front of the tunisian consulate in Paris to express their outrage about the terrible situation in the tunisian prisons and to ask for a general amnesty for thousands of and opposition members in their country.
